- Set up and operate manual machines such as lathes, mills, drill presses, and grinders while selecting appropriate tools and materials to ensure precision and quality.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine accurate machining requirements for each job.
- Select proper cutting tools and fixtures, monitor machine performance, and perform routine adjustments and maintenance to ensure reliable operation.
- Inspect finished components to verify they meet quality standards and specified tolerances.
- Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and team members to support project requirements and improve machining processes.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain equipment to ensure a safe and reliable work environment.
- Troubleshoot machining issues efficiently to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
- Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, materials, time, and any issues encountered.
