We’re partnering with a high-volume injection molding operation where uptime, consistency, and disciplined mold change execution are critical to daily performance. This Set-up Coordinator role sits at the center of that execution—owning how set-ups are trained, standardized, and performed on the production floor.

The opportunity is compelling for someone who enjoys being hands-on while also leading through coaching. You’ll help strengthen technician capability, reinforce process discipline, and keep the floor organized and ready—so changeovers happen safely, efficiently, and profitably.

This environment is a fit for an experienced injection molding professional who is naturally process-driven, comfortable giving direction, and proud of building strong technicians around them.

• Provide daily direction and support to Set-up Technicians on the production floor.
• Train new Set-up Technicians and ensure consistent onboarding and skill development.
• Continuously coach and develop current technicians to improve speed, quality, and consistency of mold changes.
• Ensure mold change processes are followed in compliance with company policies and established procedures.
• Maintain 5S standards at presses and auxiliary equipment storage areas—keeping set-up areas organized and audit-ready.
• Monitor tooling/support supply needs for the set-up function and recommend/assist with ordering as needed.
• Partner with Production Managers to implement procedures, instructions, and policies that improve operating efficiency.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work environment and support daily production tasks as needed.
• Provide input on potential candidates for Set-up Technician roles and recommend corrective actions when performance gaps appear.

You’re a steady floor leader who takes pride in doing things the right way—safe, clean, consistent, and repeatable. You’re comfortable teaching others, giving clear direction, and holding the line on standards without creating drama. You enjoy being the person technicians go to when something isn’t working, and you’re motivated by smoother changeovers and better days on the floor.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of experience in an injection molding environment.
• 3+ years of supervisory/management experience (preferred).
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Able to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
• Must own tools and toolbox.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for an 8-hour shift on hard floor surfaces.

Set-ups are the handoff point between planned production and real output. This role helps protect uptime, quality, and profitability by ensuring mold change work is done consistently and technicians are trained to a high standard.
