Job Summary
The Vice President of Developmental Disabilities directs all services within the organization’s Developmental Disabilities (DD) Service Division. The role ensures high‑quality community‑based care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (/DD) and those served through Agency‑Directed Services (ADS). Responsibilities include leadership and oversight of programming, compliance, development, financial outcomes, and staff care. The position serves on the executive leadership team and supports divisional leadership teams.
SupervisionThe Vice President supervises the Day Support Supervisor, the Director of Residential Services, the Director of Agency Directed Services, and the Director of Quality and Compliance, and reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.
Minimum Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in a human service field or an acceptable degree.
- Master’s Degree preferred.
- Three years of direct service experience.
- At least five years of high‑level management in human services, preferably within an /DD system of care.
The employee works in an office environment and occasionally in the field, encountering highly emotional situations. Work is generally completed during weekdays, though hours may vary. The role requires frequent interruptions and varying noise levels.
Physical RequirementsRequires finger dexterity, effective communication, and the ability to see or hear verbal cues. Walking, sitting, and standing are required in varying proportions. Lifting/pushing/pulling no more than ten pounds. Driving constitutes about ten percent of working time.
Special Requirements & Qualifications- Current DMV driving record that meets insurer guidelines.
- Drug and alcohol screening with satisfactory results.
- Documentation of PPD test, chest x‑ray, or TB screening.
- Criminal and child protective services background report with no adverse findings.
- Office and records administration techniques and procedures.
