The General Manager (GM) is the senior leader responsible for all aspects of club operations, financial performance, member satisfaction, and staff leadership. Reporting to Heritage Golf Group and working closely with the Club’s Advisory Board and Committees, the GM provides strategic direction while maintaining a strong, visible presence throughout the Club.

The General Manager leads by example, setting the tone for service excellence, accountability, and collaboration. This role requires a hands-on, member-focused leader who can balance day-to-day operational excellence with long-term planning, financial stewardship, and team development.

• Provide overall leadership and direction for all club operations, including golf, food & beverage, membership, events, facilities, and administration
• Foster strong, transparent relationships with the Advisory Board, Committees, members, staff, vendors, and the surrounding community
• Lead, coach, and develop department heads and staff; establish clear goals, expectations, and accountability
• Ensure exceptional member and guest experiences across all touchpoints
• Develop, manage, and achieve annual operating and capital budgets; monitor financial performance and drive continuous improvement
• Oversee membership engagement, recruitment, retention, and programming to support a vibrant and relevant club culture
• Ensure Club assets, facilities, and equipment are properly maintained and protected
• Uphold and enforce Club policies, procedures, and standards with integrity and consistency
• Lead capital projects and operational initiatives in partnership with Heritage Golf Group
• Champion a culture of professionalism, service excellence, and ethical leadership

• Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive leadership experience in a private club, golf, hospitality, or similar service-driven environment
• Demonstrated success leading diverse teams and building strong management cultures
• Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and expense management
• Experience overseeing food & beverage operations, member programming, and service standards
• Proven ability to engage members, manage committees, and communicate effectively with boards and ownership
• Experience with capital projects, renovations, or major operational initiatives preferred
• Professional, approachable, and confident leadership style with a high degree of emotional intelligence and humility
• Exceptional communication, listening, and relationship-building skills
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to consistent execution and quality

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field preferred
• Equivalent private club or hospitality leadership experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
