Pay Band/Salary: $110,000 - $165,000 (Pay Band 14) BOE

1) increase access to community-based mental health and substance use disorder services (particularly to under-served communities),

3) improve utilization of evidence-based practices on a more consistent basis.

Job Summary

The CFO is responsible for all financial operations of the organization. As a member of the Leadership Team, the CFO works in conjunction with the CEO, Directors and other management and program leads to ensure processes and procedures are following GAAP and State and Federal guidelines, all while minimizing risk and exposure and maximizing return.

The CFO guides the general accounting processes including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Financial Reporting. The CFO is primarily responsible for annual cost reporting to the state, annual budgeting, annual audits, and monthly financial reporting and analysis, in addition to grant management and reporting.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Operates as part of the leadership team providing vision, leadership and inspiration in planning, directing, and managing comprehensive alcohol, drug, and mental health systems of care.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Establish and maintain over time, constructive and cooperative internal and external working relationships related to the conduct of the job.

  • Chair RMHC Committee’s as needed.
  • Administration oversight, leading and coaching of supervises in compliance with Human Resources policy
  • Supervisees have been assigned responsibility in accord with the agencies’ need.
  • Provides for necessary training and equipment
  • Conducts performance evaluations and recommends salary changes
  • Participates in problem solving with employees
  • Coaches and instructs employees as necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the CEO.
Board Responsibilities
  • Develop and present financial and statistical reports for the Board and CEO which are clear, concise and accurate.
  • Communicate with the Board and CEO in a manner which facilitates a good understanding of the behavioral health care financing environment.
  • Ensures that fiscal systems are fully operational, efficient, and accurate.
  • Creates and presents annual budget to Board and CEO.
Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Fiscal Processes
  • Analysis of reports and programs pertinent to each department.
  • Maintain monthly reconciliations of appropriate accounts to verify accuracy.
  • Oversee the preparation of all agency operating budgets, including capital budgets in collaboration with Board and management team.
