This position will be working out of both the Warren County and Page County Branch Offices.

The probation supervisor will provide leadership and supervision to probation officers. Will oversee the daily operation for intake, probation, and parole services to ensure optimum customer service. This position also conducts continuous quality assurance to ensure the fidelity of assessment tools, accuracy of court reports, and the appropriate delivery of case management. The probation supervisor provides coaching and guidance to probation officers using strategies designed to improve job performance.
Minimum QualificationsAt a minimum, selected candidates must possess the following:
- Experience working in the criminal justice system and court proceedings
- Ability to effectively supervise and performance manage employees
- Ability to implement and administer policies, directives, and procedures
- Considerable knowledge of assessments, case plans, and court reports
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices and principles and best practice methods
- Ability to conduct quality assurance reviews
- Considerable experience in identifying community resources and services
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- A valid driver’s license is required, or the ability to obtain it by the date of hire
Additional considerations include the following:
- Experience in the juvenile justice field
- Supervisory experience
