Housekeeper, Maintenance​/Cleaning

Job Summary

Williamsburg Landing, a CARF-accredited Life Plan Community, seeks a Full‑Time Housekeeper to join our Housekeeping Team. The ideal candidate must show initiative, good judgement and maintain positive interactions with residents, guests, and staff.

Starting pay rate is $15.50/hr and commensurate with experience.

Hours:

7 am‑4 pm, Monday‑Friday; 6 am‑2:30 pm, Saturday/Sunday. One weekend per month is required.

• Maintain facilities in safe, sanitary, and infection‑free conditions by cleaning and disinfecting areas as established by cleaning procedures, guidelines, and checklists.
• Follow cleaning schedule (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) as outlined; operate various mechanized cleaning equipment such as vacuums.
• Clean floors using dry mops, wet mops, brooms, and disinfectants; perform emergency housekeeping when accidents occur.
• Clean movable and stationary furnishings and fixtures; dust, spot‑clean, wash, disinfect, polish where required including cleaning ledges, handrails, shelves, vents, etc.; empty, clean, and reline wastebaskets and trashcans.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms, including all fixtures, floors, walls, wash windows and mirrors, and replenish bathroom supplies.
• Clean and disinfect kitchens, including all surfaces, fixtures, cabinet doors, refrigerators, stove tops, and ovens.
• Clean walls, windows, doors, and ceilings.
• Clean entrances and exits, trash rooms and utility rooms.
• Perform laundry duties following all state and federal regulations.

• Any satisfactory combination of education, training, experience, or abilities in a related field.
• Ability to communicate and follow instructions in English, verbally and in writing.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, stretch arms above head, bend to clean under furniture, climb stairs and step ladders, and reach overhead with frequency.
