The 2nd Shift Lead Engineer will provide maintenance support for all aspects of a luxury hotel. This position requires a self‑motivated professional with excellent time‑management skills and extensive knowledge of electrical, HVACR, plumbing, and kitchen equipment. In addition to preventive maintenance responsibilities the Lead will diagnose and make necessary repairs to complete work orders. To maintain the 5‑star rating of this hotel, the Lead Engineer must maintain a high level of personal appearance and professionalism when interacting with hotel guests.
EssentialFunctions
- Minimum of 5 years previous experience in a luxury property maintenance department.
- CFC License required.
- Ability to read, write and speak English effectively with team, guests, and hotel staff.
- Prior experience with CMMS
- Previous experience with working knowledge of mechanical building systems.
- Maintain inventory levels with order requisitions and keep the maintenance shop organized for efficiency.
- Prior experience maintaining a preventative maintenance schedule.
- Able to troubleshoot equipment and make repairs as necessary.
- Working harmoniously and professionally with co‑workers and hotel staff.
- Ability to work under time restraints and compete tasks in the allotted time for projects.
- Responds to guest and department maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Ability to understand systematics and blueprint drawings.
- Shall hold a valid Virginia Driver’s License and shall have reliable transportation.
- Able to lift up to sixty (60) pounds.
- Able to sit, stand and walk up to 10 hours.
- Capable of ascending ladders up to a height of thirty (30) feet.
