About the RoleThe M&A Associate will work on a variety of merger and acquisition transactions, providing day-to-day legal support and strategic guidance to clients. The role involves managing the deal process, drafting and negotiating key transaction documents, and supervising junior associates.
Key responsibilities include:
- Draft, review, and negotiate definitive and ancillary M&A transaction documents.
- Manage the end-to-end deal process for clients, coordinating internal and external teams.
- Supervise and mentor junior associates on transactional matters.
- Maintain strong client relationships, providing strategic advice tailored to client objectives.
- Handle workflow demands efficiently across multiple M&A engagements.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from a nationally recognized law school with a high level of academic achievement.
- 3–7 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, preferably at a law firm or in-house corporate environment.
- Strong experience drafting and negotiating transaction documents.
- Ability to manage complex deals, client relationships, and associate supervision.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Professional judgment, discretion, and ability to handle confidential information.
- Expected annual pay range: $260,000 – $420,000
