Sr. Underwriting Services Representative – Payroll Services
CopperPoint has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Underwriting Services Representative – Payroll Services. In this role, you will support Payroll Services in the issuing, binding, and ongoing maintenance of new and renewal business, while managing mid‑term policy changes by reviewing and obtaining required information from insureds and agents. You will own the execution of senior‑level tasks involving rating bureaus, agents, and insureds, and serve as a subject‑matter expert, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and high‑quality service across the underwriting process.
Job Responsibilities- Support binding and issuing new business and renewal accounts, including editing, web searches, and entering loss information.
- Support executing endorsement, cancellation, and reinstatement within defined guidelines.
- Support processing Broker of Service / Broker of Record requests.
- Support processing all other defined tasks associated with new product / vertical launches.
- Assist mentoring and training new employees.
- Act as point of contact for agents / brokers and insureds.
- Assist with special projects and user‑assistance testing.
- Primary backup to Team Leads.
- Manage customer‑relations activities.
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Preferred knowledge and skill levels acquired through undergraduate‑level studies in risk management, business administration, finance, or marketing.
- Requires a minimum of three years of work experience in insurance or an office environment.
- Knowledge and/or experience with commercial lines insurance.
- Must be detail oriented, possess excellent customer‑service skills, and able to work in a team environment.
- Ability to plan and organize, demonstrate accountability and dependability.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, focus on quality, and ability to deliver business results.
- Must be able to partner effectively with the Payroll Services division.

- Paid time off accrues at 0.0692 hours per paid hour (approximately 18 days per year) plus 10 paid holidays.
- $45,000.00 – $55,000.00 annually.
- Compensation may vary based on skills, experience, education, and geographic location.
- Base salary may include an annual discretionary bonus.
