Position Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Manual and Automation Tester to support testing, quality assurance, and Agile delivery activities in a high‑visibility environment. This role combines hands‑on test execution, test automation, SQL validation, API testing, and the ability to support Scrum Master responsibilities as needed.

The ideal candidate brings strong experience working with backend systems, service validations, test automation frameworks, and Agile/Dev Ops methodologies. This role also collaborates closely with Business teams to perform UI data updates and verification, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities Testing & Quality Assurance
  • Execute manual test cases and incorporate automation strategies to improve efficiency and reduce testing effort
  • Validate backend systems using SQL queries and service‑level testing tools (Postman, SoapUI, etc.)
  • Create detailed documentation including test plans, test scenarios, and test cases using ALM or similar tools
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and frameworks (UFT)
  • Identify, document, and track defects with clear, detailed reporting
Scrum & Agile Support
  • Serve as a backup Scrum Master, facilitating stand‑ups, assisting with Agile ceremonies, and supporting release management
  • Maintain release documentation, system protocols, and process updates
  • Demonstrate user stories and new functionality to customers and stakeholders
Business & Data Support
  • Work with business teams on UI data updates and verification
  • Troubleshoot and research ad‑hoc questions or support issues
  • Ensure quality standards are met and defects are minimized
Collaboration & Communication
  • Partner with Solutions Architects, Product Owners, Developers, and Managers
  • Utilize Agile and Dev Sec Ops  practices to enhance delivery speed and quality
  • Maintain strong documentation, organization, and communication across teams
Required Skills/Education Technical Skills (Must Have)
  • 8+ years in software development, QA/testing, or related fields
  • Proficiency in manual testing and test automation, including UFT
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, backend validations, and API testing
  • Experience using HP ALM or similar test management tools
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and operating systems
  • Experience with Version One or similar work‑management tools
  • Demonstrated experience creating test plans, cases, scripts, and reports
  • Ability to analyze processes logically and troubleshoot complex issues
  • Experience mentoring junior team members
  • Familiarity with Dev Ops/Agile methodologies
Tools & Technologies
  • Postman, SoapUI, AML, UFT, Playwright, JMeter
  • Version One or comparable Agile tools
  • Dev Sec Ops  and secure coding best practices
  • PLSQL experience is a plus
Soft Skills
  • Motivated self‑starter with strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders at all levels
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field preferred
