Why we need you
We are seeking an experienced Dev Ops Engineer to maintain, enhance, and scale our AWS-based infrastructure. We develop and operate a state-of-the-art OSINT collection and processing SaaS platform. You will work with a mature IaC environment managing production systems, including Kubernetes clusters, Mongo
DB sharded deployments, message queues, and comprehensive monitoring solutions.
- Maintain and enhance Ansible playbooks and roles
- Manage AWS infrastructure using Cloud Formation
- Operate and scale Kubernetes clusters with KEDA-based event-driven autoscaling
- Administer sharded Mongo
DB clusters and Elasticsearch databases - Manage Rabbit
MQ and Redis clusters - Maintain and improve monitoring stack (Nagios, ELK, Cloud Watch, Pager Duty)
- Implement and enforce security controls (SELinux, FIPS compliance, OSSEC, WAF)
- Develop automation scripts in Python and Bash for operational tasks
- Support CI/CD pipelines using Atlassian Bamboo/Git Hub Actions
- Participate in on-call rotation for production infrastructure support
- Create and maintain baseline AMIs for rapid environment provisioning
- US Citizen with 3+ years of AWS experience
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
- Strong proficiency with Ansible (playbooks, roles, dynamic inventory)
- Experience operating Kubernetes clusters in production, including non-managed clusters. Hands-on experience with Mongo
DB administration of sharded replica sets - Familiarity with Nagios or similar monitoring platforms
- Experience with Rabbit
MQ and Redis (or similar) clustering - Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting
- Experience with containerization (Docker, CRI-O)
- Familiarity with Linux administration (RHEL/Rocky Linux/CentOS)
- A firm understanding of AWS networking concepts
Preferred Qualifications
- Current Top Secret security clearance or ability to be cleared
- Experience with KEDA or other event-driven Kubernetes autoscaling
- Background in security hardening (SELinux, DISSA STIGs)
- Experience with ELK Stack
- AWS Solutions Architect or Sys Ops Administrator certification (LPIC II)
- Experience with Atlassian tools (Bamboo, Jira, Confluence)
