We are looking for a Presales Consultant to provide technical support and deep product expertise to HPE Networking partners and customers. This role is responsible for delivering technical support and/or technical leadership in the design and delivery of technology solutions that meet customer business requirements. You will establish and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and provide the highest level of product- and technology-specific expertise within the sales organization during deal pursuits.
This position is aligned with specific products or product lines. A Consulting Systems Engineer also serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in their domain (such as mobility, security, or branch networking), delivering end-to-end technical consulting and overall solution design to address customer business needs.
- Deliver presales technical demonstrations and solution presentations to partners and customers
- Provide technical training to partners and customers, deepening product understanding and sharing the latest features and technology evolution
- Support sales teams through customer meetings, technical briefings, and marketing events
- Own all technical aspects of the sales cycle while supporting HPE Networking opportunity pursuits
- Maintain strong awareness of market trends and competitive technologies, positioning HPE Networking solutions accurately and understanding interoperability with other technologies
- Build and deepen technical relationships with partners and customers through enablement, presales support, issue escalation, and new feature feedback
- Design, install, and configure HPE Networking products and solutions for demonstrations, PoCs, and production deployments
- Provide timely feedback to product management and R&D teams on customer requirements and market insights, contributing to future product direction
- Participate in industry trade shows, marketing events, business reviews, and corporate activities (travel required)
- Contribute to discussions around new product launches and provide technical feedback to marketing and engineering teams
- Deep expertise in enterprise networking technologies, including WLAN, LAN, and WAN, with solid knowledge of 802.11, Ethernet, and static/dynamic routing protocols and their enterprise deployment
- Proven experience in enterprise network architecture and design, with a strong understanding of LAN/WAN architectures and packet forwarding behavior
- Strong foundation in legacy networking and the ability to support smooth migration and interoperability with next-generation networks
- Ability to lead technical discussions, architecture reviews, and whiteboard design sessions
- Solid hands-on knowledge of Wi-Fi, VLANs, IP subnetting, IPv4/IPv6, TCP/UDP, ACLs, and related technologies
