Overview
Leidos has an opening for a Secret cleared qualified Trainer - Curriculum Developer for the Decision Advantage Business Area. This is an exciting opportunity to bring your experience to support across all‑domain large‑scale weapon systems, Information Technology Systems, and Command and Control Systems to realize the Department of Defense Joint All‑Domain Command and Control (JADC2). You will support an Integrated Product Team (IPT) for the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) Digital Infrastructure (DI) Processing Node (PN) to design and implement solutions that can be delivered at speed, scale, and with the necessary security to deliver operational advantages to the joint warfighter.
Primaryresponsibilities
- Develop and deliver courseware in support of the DIPN member product line.
- Develop all training program artifacts in accordance with the 5‑step Air Force Instructional Systems Development (ISD) process.
- Gather source data from the applicable POC’s/stakeholders or provided resources specific to training and technical guide development and ingest data into a technical guide via Adobe Dreamweaver.
- Develop operator level procedures from source data and through coordination/meetings with relevant POC’s and stakeholders.
- Develop training slides and other training aids as needed to support training events.
- Perform verification/validation efforts on training materials.
- Work with the Technical Editing team as required to adjudicate reviews/updates/revisions on materials.
- BA/BS degree in related technical field and 4+ years’ experience (or 8 years of experience in lieu of degree and experience) in training development.
- US citizenship and an active Secret security clearance, with ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
- Ability to operate within an Agile Development Life Cycle framework.
- Well versed in ADDIE instructional design model.
- Must be able to integrate with developers and subject matter experts to determine instructional requirements, collect data, customize design proposals, and implement solutions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Camtasia, and other proprietary tools for concurrent training development.
- Strong working knowledge of software development and testing processes.
- Able to multi‑task, self‑assign work, and function in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written skills with ability to brief and evaluate student personnel.
- Ability to demonstrate a good aptitude for problem solving, being organized, and able to communicate at a high level.
- Knowledge of fundamental constructs such as learning theory/instructional systems development is considered essential at the start.
- Ability to translate technical terms into basic comprehensible language and training aids.
- Ability to understand and communicate with technical staff is considered a standard part of the position.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with customer representatives, domain experts, and other systems engineers in the development of complex DoD systems.
- Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience.
- Experience working with Adobe Dreamweaver.
- Experience working with GIT and Bitbucket.
- Experience working on hardware and software development projects, especially Agile based development programs, within DOD or Air Force.
- Experience in development of training for virtual training devices.
- Experience with Air Force Instructional Systems Development (ISD) process.
Pay Range: $65,650.00 - $
