Zachary Piper is seeking a CANES Dev Sec Ops / Infrastructure-as-Code Architect to lead the design and automation of next-generation CANES afloat networks. This role combines deep CANES domain expertise with hands‑on development in Ansible, Terraform, and Python, delivering secure, repeatable, and Navy‑aligned CI/CD pipelines.
Key Responsibilities- Architect CANES network and platform configurations as code
- Build Navy‑aligned CI/CD pipelines (Git Ops, automated testing, compliance gates)
- Implement Zero Trust principles and compliance‑as‑code (STIG, RMF)
- Collaborate across cybersecurity, platform, and application teams
- Mentor engineering and fleet sustainment teams
- Active DoD Secret clearance
- 8+ years in network/platform engineering; 3‑5+ years IaC automation
- Direct CANES experience and Navy CI/CD delivery
- Strong skills in Ansible, Git, Python, and network automation
- Navy PMW delivery experience
- Certifications:
Cisco Dev Net, CCNP/CCIE, RHCE/Ansible, CKA/CKAD - Familiarity with Git Lab/Jenkins, PKI/CAC, Zero Trust segmentation
