INTECON is looking for a highly skilled Implementation Research Tool Software Manager to support the Air Combat Command (ACC) Interoperability and Standards Branch (ACC/A5JI) under the Joint Interoperability of Tactical Command and Control Systems (JINTACCS) program. This role supports Department of Defense acquisition programs by assisting in the deployment, sustainment, and data management of the iSMART toolset used to research Tactical Data Link (TDL) implementations across platforms and systems.

The position supports Government-directed processes to document system implementation data, maintain standards alignment, and resolve interoperability disconnects.

Roles and Responsibilities

The roles shall include:

  • Assist the Government in deploying and tracking the latest updated versions of the iSMART toolset across the DoD. Provide updated releases of the toolset on a schedule determined by the Government. The Contractor shall register applications and systems within the Enterprise Information Technology Data Repository (EITDR).
  • Attend iSMART-related meetings to present recommendations, training, or process support to the group on methodologies for documenting detailed system implementation data using processes and tools. The Contractor shall gather and evaluate data to develop Background Papers, staff studies, or presentation materials intended to describe implementation strategies, persuade an audience, or report progress.
  • Update toolset reference data to reflect current MIL-STD baselines by incorporating JMTCCB-approved MIL-STD Interface Change Proposals (ICPs) within 60 days of approval to allow systems to accurately document platform and system capabilities.
  • Research and gather information to develop Background Papers, staff studies, Talking Papers, or presentation materials as assigned by the Government.
Qualifications
  • Education: Possession of an Associate's degree in a technical field such as computer science, engineering, or information technology.
  • USAF Program Management

    Experience:

    A minimum of four (4) years of experience managing a USAF program.
  • IT Project and Data Management

    Experience:

    At least two (2) years of demonstrated technical experience organizing comprehensive IT projects and applicable data management.
  • Security+ Certification:
    Possession of a current Security+ certification.
  • iSMART

    Experience:

    At least two (2) years of experience with the iSMART process and toolsets.
  • TDL Network and Military Standards

    Experience:

    At least one (1) year of demonstrated experience with TDL networks and familiarity with applicable military standards (US Mil-Std 3011, 6011, 6016, 6017, 6020, 6040, 188-220, and ).
Proficiency in
  • Deployment, tracking, and sustainment of the iSMART toolset across the Department of Defense.
  • Documentation of detailed system and platform implementation data using Government-defined processes and tools.
  • Incorporation of JMTCCB-approved MIL-STD Interface Change Proposals into toolset reference data to maintain current standards baselines.
  • Registration of applications and systems within the Enterprise Information Technology Data Repository (EITDR).
  • Development of Background Papers, staff studies, Talking Papers, and presentation materials supporting implementation strategies and program progress.
  • Familiarity with Tactical Data Link (TDL) networks and applicable military standards, including US MIL-STD-3011, 6011, 6016, 6017, 6020, 6040, 188-220, and .
