AboutThe Role
In this position, you will spend most of your time in the field diagnosing or repairing ATM and multi‑function cash handling (TITO Kiosk) devices at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol in VA. Experience with ATM’s (specifically Diebold Nixdorf), similar equipment, slot machines, and Microsoft OS software would be a plus.
Responsibilities- Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, overtime, or flex shifts, and may need to stay at the casino full shift.
- Diagnose, repair, or replace hardware components; clean and adjust mechanical components; configure and install software.
- Perform trouble‑shooting with detailed analysis of hardware and software issues using available diagnostic tools.
- Conduct routine checks per preventative maintenance procedures and refill consumables such as receipt paper as directed.
- Install, move, add, change, or remove hardware and software products and components for ATMs and cash handling equipment.
- Instruct and train customers on usage and operation of installed hardware and software.
- Maintain commitment to customer satisfaction and provide timely follow‑up to customer concerns and requests.
- Receive briefing for incidents and orders from dispatch; update dispatch of unforeseen issues; provide detailed debriefing on all performed activities; proactively inform customers about actions taken.
- Observe technical or process problems, proactively inform about potential issues and offer improvement suggestions.
- Use corporate knowledge‑sharing tools and processes; contribute to the knowledge base.
- Participate in regular hardware and software training (on‑the‑job, classroom, web‑based) and receive certification after relevant tests.
- Provide timely and accurate dispatch information and produce administrative reports, including service reports, expense reports, time and attendance records.
- Protect company tools, test equipment, proprietary software, and documentation.
- College education and/or certification in technology areas.
- 1–2 years of experience repairing ATMs, computer electronics with hardware and software components, or cash handling equipment; experience with slot machines is a plus.
- Diebold Nixdorf certification and/or experience is a plus.
- Demonstrate quality technical, electronic repair, and maintenance skills.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem‑solving skills.
- Understanding of diverse computer systems and networks, including MS Windows environments.
- Professionalism and appearance.
- Team orientation and positive, customer‑focused attitude.
- Effective communication, verbally and in writing.
- Ability to interpret and understand technical documentation.
- PC literacy and good knowledge of relevant tools and methods.
- Experience in servicing NRT Quick Jack products or other casino ticket redemption products is a plus.
- Carry and lift tool kits and parts weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Require bending, squatting, walking, standing, or sitting for extended periods.
- Exposure to secondhand tobacco smoke within the casino environment.
- Noise level in the casino environment is moderate to loud.
