Job Description
Inova Epic is seeking a dedicated Manager of IT Clinical Applications to join the team. This hybrid, full-time day-shift role operates from Monday to Friday.
The Manager, IT Clinical Applications, leads decision-making and administrative tasks to ensure compliance with Inova Health System and IT policies, procedures, and standards. The role involves overseeing a team of Application/System Analysts responsible for Epic and other system applications, managing implementation, installation, training, and support activities.

Job Responsibilities
- Manage interfaces and interoperability between systems, ensuring seamless data flow and troubleshooting issues.
- Oversee application access and security, including role-based access and security templates.
- Manage the lifecycle of updates and upgrades, coordinating with the hosted team.
- Lead application testing phases to ensure stability during updates and new implementations.
- Oversee new system implementations, collaborating with project managers to meet timelines and deliverables.
- Partner with desktop architect teams for upgrades, managing Technical and Operational Dress Rehearsals.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Develop and execute Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans.
- Manage service requests and incident resolution timelines.
- Maintain application environments, ensuring configuration and environment integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or an associate’s degree with 2 years relevant experience, or a high school diploma with 4 years relevant experience.
- At least 5 years of project management experience with increasing responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active Epic Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Experience in environment management, application access/security, project management, cross-functional collaboration, and disaster recovery planning.
