Sr Technical Program Manager

Overview

S2 Global, an OSI Systems Company, is seeking a Sr. Technical Program Manager based remotely in the United States. S2 Global is the leading provider of security screening solutions and has extensive experience in program assessment, technology deployment, operation management, image analysis, and maintenance services at major events, ports, land borders, and air cargo facilities. The Sr. Technical Program Manager will supervise, plan, and organize activities, manage the implementation of complex business requirements and processes, manage customer expectations, scope and risk, estimate effort, and partner with the programming team.

• Project Management tasks such as documenting meeting minutes, decisions, and action items for publishing to the project team. Following-up and closure of action items.
• Maintaining and monitoring project plans and schedules. Communication of project status, etc.
• Utilizing industry-accepted project management principles and firm-established project management tools and processes to direct project teams in the definition, planning and execution of technical projects crossing multiple disciplines and geographies.
• Consult with management and review project proposals to determine goals, time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, and allocation of resources.
• Works with project customers, project sponsors, business analysts, customer relationship managers, and project team members in the planning and execution of large‑scale IT software projects.
• Work closely with end users, business technologists, and others to understand and prioritize business goals and information needs.
• Coordinate with other project resources such as customer IT staff, infrastructure provider, service teams, documentation teams, test teams, etc.
• Utilize industry-accepted methodologies and processes to bring projects on schedule, within budget, and to the customer's requirements.
• Responsible for identifying and managing project risk factors, negotiating and implementing customer change requests, and tracking and reporting project progress.
• Confer with project personnel to provide technical, business, or functional advice and resolve problems.
• Develop and maintain technical and project documentation.

• Requires a Bachelor's Degree, or other STEM related degree, or an equivalent in education and experience is required.
• PMI/PMP certification or other Project Management professional development certification.
• 8+ years of related experience and formal project management training.
• Experienced with technical project management, web development projects, applications development, Java and .Net, and various platforms is preferred.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols, cloud networking, and data center infrastructure.
• Understanding of firewalls, network segmentation, and cyber security best practices.
• Required to complete US federal background check, drug screen, and meet requirements for access to US government facilities and/or government IT networks; terms of federal contracts require US citizenship.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
