Opportunity

CACI is seeking a Service Now Architect to design highly complex, mission‑critical scoped and global applications for the Department of Homeland Security. As a Senior Architect, you will lead development team architects and developers in delivering services in compliance with customer contracts and industry best practices. You will support development teams working alongside architects, developers, scrum masters, business analysts and testers focused on the delivery of a critical case management application.

You will think critically to solve urgent mission issues, supporting end‑to‑end platform development from back‑end configuration to Self‑Service Portals.

3 days a week onsite in Arlington, VA are required.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as primary technical point‑of‑contact for projects.
  • Ensure quality of work delivered by technical teams, serve as escalation point for client concerns, and identify and implement technical team process efficiencies.
  • Define technical solutions aligned with client business problems and Service Now Implementation Best Practices at architectural and design level.
  • Translate customer requirements to high‑quality technical solutions and communicate them to clients.
  • Support development teams to write/estimate stories, monitor progress, and own overall quality and delivery.
  • Lead technical onboarding efforts with new clients to understand their current processes and platform configurations.
  • Perform Sprint demos and deliver development artifacts, documentation, and knowledge transfer activities.
  • Collaborate with Development Managers to monitor for scope creep and resolve critical path technical issues.
  • Mentor architects and developers on technical design standards and best practices.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of the Service Now platform and products.
  • Research technology partner or other vendor solutions for integration.
  • Contribute to continual improvement of Delivery Services processes and portfolio maturity.
  • Participate in agile daily scrums and ceremonies, updating stories daily in Service Now and collaborating across platform teams.
  • Support and participate in customer requirement workshops, configuring requested items using Flow Designer.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior and mid‑level staff.
  • Design, create and configure Notifications, UI Pages, UI Macros, Script Includes, Formatters, etc.
  • Design, create and configure Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts and ACLs including advanced scripting.
  • Support development of use cases and testing procedures, ensuring product functionality and debugging before production deployment.
  • Create and maintain system design and operations documentation.
  • Ensure all development aligns with Service Now Technical Best Practices.
Qualifications Required:
  • U.S. citizen with the ability to attain DHS EOD.
  • BA + 15 years applicable experience.
  • Must be able to report onsite weekly in Arlington, VA.
  • 1 or more active Service Now certifications.
  • Extensive understanding of Service Now configuration, customization and scripting.
  • Experience integrating Service Now with external systems through SOAP or REST web services.
  • Experience with Okta and SSO technologies.
  • Experience using the Workflow Editor to configure workflows.
Desired:
  • Experience with Service Now ITSM, ITAM, Sec Ops, and scoped applications.
  • Experience with Service Now Customer Service Management (CSM).
  • Experience with custom Service Now apps built using Angular.
