Core Responsibilities:
- Reviewing background checks of potential contractors and employees.
- Performing validation checks and resolving “gray area” cases requiring careful judgment.
- Using Salesforce for case management (training will be provided).
- Supporting triage processes by identifying which cases can be cleared quickly vs. which need deeper review.
- Ensuring compliance and accurate decision-making to avoid regulatory or financial risks to company.
Skills and Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in risk and compliance (with some flexibility if recent experience is extensive).
- Strong attention to detail and investigative mindset (ability to ask questions, flag inconsistencies, and handle ambiguous data).
- Proficiency in Gmail for managing large volumes of communication.
- Basic knowledge of regulatory compliance and risk tolerance.
- Hands‑on execution experience in compliance‑related work (not just leadership experience).
- Previous background in risk, compliance, regulatory, or investigative roles.
- Strong judgment and critical thinking skills.
- High adaptability to handle case‑by‑case variations.
- Ability to work under pressure with large caseloads.
- Proactive learners who can quickly grasp Client’s internal processes.
- Risk/compliance knowledge is needed, inherent qualities such as attention to detail, investigative ability, and problem‑solving mindset are more critical than domain expertise alone.
- The HR Coordinators will join a background review team that ensures only eligible individuals can be employed or contracted.
- The role is back‑end focused (no direct applicant communication; outreach is done by another team).
- Work will be primarily email‑based collaboration within the team and with other departments.
- Close in‑office collaboration is required due to the sensitive, high‑stakes nature of decision‑making.
