Administer, perform and document all established department services and special procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and documenting all aspects of patient care. Work closely with all health care providers to facilitate and coordinate efficient, effective, quality health care. Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of applicable patient growth and development, possess the ability to assess data reflective of patient’s age‑specific needs, and provide care needed by all treated patient group(s).
Implement and/or comply with all policies, procedures and standards of the department and institution.
- Utilize appropriate resources to complete assignments within the allocated time period.
- Adapt to changes in volume/acuity demands and remain calm in crisis situations.
- Adhere to Attendance and Tardiness Policy.
- Support responsible staffing decisions (cancel, place staff on hold/on call, call in on hold/on call staff appropriately).
- Demonstrate efforts to eliminate waste.
- Report to work on time and be ready to start work.
- Consistently utilize Kronos system to document hours of work.
- Demonstrate problem‑solving ability using appropriate resources.
- Serve as a resource as needed in an effective manner to the unit and other departments.

- Show flexibility in meeting staffing and scheduling requirements of the department.
- Have working knowledge of the operation of the department or seek guidance from appropriate personnel.
- Report equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel and correctly complete work order.
- Assure a safe and clean environment, keeping hallways clutter free and rooms neat.
- Utilize standard precautions by wearing protective equipment (goggles, gowns, gloves) and using correct handwashing techniques.
- Consistently strive to improve performance.

- Is cognizant of age‑specific, cultural and physical needs of customers in providing service.
- Maintains confidentiality of all patient/other information.
