Administer, perform and document all established department services and special procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and documenting all aspects of patient care. Work closely with all health care providers to facilitate and coordinate efficient, effective, quality health care. Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of applicable patient growth and development, possess the ability to assess data reflective of patient’s age‑specific needs, and provide care needed by all treated patient group(s).

Implement and/or comply with all policies, procedures and standards of the department and institution.

• Utilize appropriate resources to complete assignments within the allocated time period.
• Adapt to changes in volume/acuity demands and remain calm in crisis situations.
• Adhere to Attendance and Tardiness Policy.
• Support responsible staffing decisions (cancel, place staff on hold/on call, call in on hold/on call staff appropriately).

• Utilize standard precautions by wearing protective equipment (goggles, gowns, gloves) and using correct handwashing techniques.
