Patient Access Embedded Trainer – UVA Health
As a Patient Access Embedded Trainer, you will work closely with the Revenue Cycle Training Director and Senior Training Specialists to implement training tools and instruct staff on EMR systems related to Patient Access. You will observe staff performance, provide feedback, and assist with system enhancements and reporting for the Registration systems.
Responsibilities- Implement training tools and deliver training on EMR system functions to Patient Access staff.
- Observe and monitor staff performance in clinic setting, offering feedback to management and providing specialized instruction.
- Act as liaison for interdisciplinary projects, attending meetings and sharing insights.
- Help implement system enhancements and perform follow‑up reporting of Registration system usage.
- Conduct technical and informational training classes and onsite sessions as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Education:
High School or equivalent required;
Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred in education, health or IT related majors. - Experience:
Minimum 3 years in a Help Desk/Information Systems setting or with Scheduling/Registration at UVA. - Licensure:
Certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM) or Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) by NAHAM required within 18 months of hire. - Physical:
Capable of standing for prolonged periods, bending/stooping, overhead reach, repetitive keyboard use, ability to lift/push/pull 50–100 lbs.
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping, reaching (overhead, extensive, and repetitive); repetitive motion: computer keyboard; proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; attention to detail and ability to write legibly; ability to lift/push/pull 50‑100 lbs.
CompensationHourly: $18.01 – $36.02
