As a member of the team at Gertrude Abbott Aged Care Surry Hills , you will be providing essential lifestyle, social and wellbeing services for our residents.

• Encouraging resident choice and participation in individual and group activities
• Assisting in the design, delivery and monitoring of group and individual lifestyle services and activities
• Implementing innovative events and lifestyle activities for residents and where possible involving the wider community, volunteers and residents family and friends
• Provide direct resident care during activities such as bus trips, including assisting with personal hygiene and toileting
• Provide direct resident care in relation to meals service, mobility and social support
• Supporting your peers and maintaining a cooperative team spirit
• Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents closely following all policies and procedures

• A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Certificate III or Cert IV in Leisure and Health or Individual Support or similar
• Able to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families
• A reliable team player
• Commitment to respecting the values, customs, preferences and spiritual beliefs of residents
• Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
