Current State Employees: 12‑Month Probationary period will restart upon hire

• Administer occupational therapy treatment programs as developed and specified.
• Prepare clients and deliver treatments, perform OT evaluations and re‑certifications.
• Develop OT treatment plans and make necessary modifications.
• Monitor and maintain adaptive equipment.
• Document client status in accordance with Federal, State and Facility guidelines.

• Knowledge of occupational therapy and developmental disabilities.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Professional interaction with clients, staff, families and community personnel.
• Proficiency in computer application software.
• Ability to lead and coordinate work of the rehab department and cross‑functional departments.

• Completion of a Bachelors Degree in occupational therapy from an accredited education program and must be licensed or eligible to practice in Virginia as an Occupational Therapist.
• Experience with neurologically involved, developmentally disabled patients is beneficial.
• Previous professional occupational therapy experience in a long‑term care or adult geriatric setting preferred.
