Description

The Special Events Medic provides emergency medical care during public and private events, ensuring the safety and well‑being of attendees, staff, and participants. This role requires quick decision‑making, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in dynamic, high‑traffic environments.

$36.00 per hour

Part Time

• Advanced Emergency Care
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and deliver advanced life support interventions
• Administer medications, manage airways, and utilize advanced equipment as per protocols
• Coordinate patient stabilization and prepare for transport when necessary
• Documentation & Reporting
• Accurately document all patient encounters and treatments.
• Equipment and Readiness
• Ensure that all medical equipment and supplies are stocked and operational before and during events.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of assigned medical stations or response kits.

• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Lift and carry up to 125 lbs. or 250 lbs. with assistance.
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. of equipment.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• High School Diploma or GED required;
  Associate’s Degree in EMS or related field preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record (valid for 3 years or more).
• EVOC certification or equivalent preferred.
• Virginia EMT- I or EMT- P Certification
• BLS CPR certification
• ACLS certification
• PALS certification
• EVOC certification
• PHTLS / ITLS preferred
• 1 year paid 911 experience
• Prior experience in EMS, mobile healthcare, or community paramedicine a plus.
