Overview
Diagnostic medical ultrasound technician performing imaging procedures to support patient care, clinical research, and medical education. Focused on ultrasound technology to produce high‑quality images of internal structures for diagnosis and monitoring of medical conditions.
Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound imaging procedures, supporting patient care and scientific research.
- Diagnose, treat, and care for patients, including face‑to‑face interactions.
- Design and implement clinical programs, policies, and services using specialized knowledge and skills.
- Associate’s degree preferred; must meet education requirements for diagnostic medical ultrasound or echocardiography certification with CCI or ARDMS.
- Entry level; at least one (1) year of clinical experience in diagnostic medical ultrasound, including time in an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program; must have at least six (6) months of obstetric scanning experience.
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) in OB/GYN required;
American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequent bending/stooping, reaching overhead and repetitive computer keyboard motion. Proficient communicative, auditory, visual skills; attention to detail; ability to lift or push or pull 50–100 lbs. May be exposed to cold, dust, noise, radiation, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
CompensationHourly rate: $30.74 – $49.18.
