We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our IN-HOUSE therapy team! New Grads Welcome!
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of residents' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that promote independence in activities of daily living (ADLs), functional mobility, and leisure activities.
- Provide direct therapy services in accordance with physician orders and established care plans.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to care planning processes.
- Educate residents, families, and staff on adaptive equipment, home safety, and strategies to support functional independence.
- Supervise occupational therapy assistants (COTAs) and ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
- Adhere to all applicable regulations, ethical standards, and company policies.
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current and valid license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Virginia.
- Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
- Previous experience in a long-term care or geriatric setting preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
