Responsibilities
These roles provide essential assistance to healthcare professionals in delivering patient care. Ensure the smooth functioning of clinical operations by handling tasks that support the diagnostic, therapeutic, and procedural aspects of patient care. Allied Health – Health Services professionals work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of medical services.
These roles focus on the preparation, performance, and post‑operative support to surgical teams. Responsibilities include sterilization, instrument preparation and handling, and operational or hands‑on support required during surgery. Duties may be performed in hospitals, surgical centers, and clinics, covering tasks from planning and preparation to recovery and follow‑up. (Perioperative Nurses are excluded.)
Represents people leaders (hire/fire authority) with majority of time spent overseeing their area of responsibility. Achieve goals through direct and/or indirect reports.
Supervises support‑level employees. Sets goals and objectives for other employees within the Job Area. Develops solutions to a variety of routine problems, and escalates more complex issues to higher‑level managers. Ensures policies, practices, and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports.
Minimum Requirements- Education:
High School Graduate or Equivalent required;
Associate’s Degree preferred. - Experience:
3 years progressive leadership experience, preferably in a hospital setting; 3 years’ direct experience within surgical services in a Level 1 Trauma hospital preferred. - Licensure:
Specific certifications and licensures required. See job requisition for specific requirements.
Job requires sitting/standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending, stooping, traveling, and reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive). Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills;
Attention to detail and ability to write legibly;
Ability to lift/push/pull 50–100 lbs. May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, vibrations, heat, noise, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
Base Pay Range: $24.24/hr – $48.48/hr.
Position Compensation Range: $24.24 – $48.48 Hourly.
