Henrico County is bordered by the City of Richmond and is part of the Richmond metropolitan area. The County operates through numerous agencies, with Department Heads appointed by the County Manager. The County supports a wide range of community services through its General Government.

• Assists Recreation Coordinators and/or Instructors in planning and carrying out activities in general or specialized program areas at specified program locations or on a County-wide basis; performs related work as required.
• Demonstrates knowledge in the philosophy and objectives of community recreation.
• Understands and carries out oral and written directions accurately.
• Follows rules and program planning, and assists in leading activities in various program areas.
• Maintains discipline and/or control, works effectively with groups, and interacts tactfully with the public.
• Maintains accurate records and prepares all reports as required.
• Must be at least 15 years old.

• Completion of the 10th grade (graduation from high school is preferred); or any combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

This position is open to individuals who are at least 15 years old and meet the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Working hours:

8:00 am – 4:00 pm.

Hourly salary rate: $16.06/hour.
