- Review Child and Family Service Review (CFSR) and Title IV-E cases to ensure financial payments and documentation are in compliance with federal and state law and policy.
- Review, analyze, and conduct financial and case reviews within local departments of social services for compliance.
- Monitor and develop corrective action plans resulting from case reviews.
- Provide technical assistance by responding to emails and calls from local departments regarding appropriate use of CFSR and Title IV-E policy and procedures.
- Coordinate efforts with other state and federal partners involved with agency‑wide sub‑recipient monitoring activities.
- Assist with the modification of automated accounting and reporting systems and deliver related training to local departments.
- Develop and revise policies and procedures.
- Analyze and interpret state and federal laws and regulations.
- Must be an active, state employee of the Virginia Department of Social Services.
- Comprehensive knowledge of and experience applying complex federal and state laws.
- Experience in the use of personal computer desktop applications, including MS Office.
- Experience working on or leading project teams and providing training.
- Interpreting, analyzing and monitoring complex issues.
- Understanding the organization’s purpose and mission.
- Attaining goals and objectives.
- Fulfilling the needs of internal and external customers.
- Making professional judgments and precise decision making.
- Collaborating and cooperating to get the job done.

- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Considerable experience with child welfare case management is preferred for CFSR.
- Considerable experience with Title IV-E is preferred.
- Experience in the use of automated accounting and data reporting systems preferred.
