Job Summary
Riverside Regional Jail is seeking a full-time Classification Technician to complete inmate risk assessments, classification and housing.
ResponsibilitiesDuties include interviewing, classifying newly committed inmates, completing reclassifications as needed, completing facility relocations, maintaining classification files with updates from courts and institutional activities, and performing other work as required.
Minimum QualificationsMust possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. and a valid Virginia driver’s license. The incumbent must be a U.S. citizen and at least 21 years of age, as well as be able to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts. The incumbent must not have been convicted of a felony. Experience in corrections, criminal justice or related field; or an equivalent combination of training and experience preferred but not required.
CompensationFull-Time: $50,107 – $71,194
