THE ROLE
Within guidelines and general supervision, multiple functions perform in support of branches and activities of the centralized bank operations department, the electronic banking department, the debit card services department, Fin Tech division, and internal general banking operations. Such functions related to back‑office operations are not limited to exception review, daily monitoring and reporting. The specific duties assigned to this individual within the area of bank operations may change from time to time, based upon the specific requirements of the bank.
The Deposit Operations Analyst II (Deposit Operations) performs daily operational tasks that are considered modern and complex in nature. Demonstrate analytical capabilities while performing tasks, including assessing and proactively mitigating risk and potential losses to the Bank. WHAT YOU’LL DO- Implement knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations and Bank operation polices to process wires.
- Provides support to peer teammates, ensuring uninterrupted completion of daily operational tasks.
- Provides support to all areas of MVB as requested
- Performs the duties assigned independently and efficiently to support the overall goals of bank.
- Ensures client satisfaction through superior knowledge, courtesy, professional appearance, responsiveness, accuracy, and communication for customer‑based transactions.

- Daily responsibilities to include but not limited to:
- Daily activity reviews and exception reporting
- Non‑post & NSF Processing
- Fed Corrections
- Charge Back Processing
- Debit Card Fraud Review
- Reg E and Check Fraud Processing
- Support for Core Banking, Digital, Legal and other Operations Units
- Proactively identifies and modifies procedures, to increase level of service and promote operational efficiency in operations functions.
- Assures compliance with all Bank policies, procedures and processes, and all applicable state and federal banking laws, rules and regulations; adheres to Bank Secrecy ACT (BSA), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) responsibilities that are specific to the position.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years of related experience in the financial services industry
- Intermediate experience knowledge and training in branch operation activities, terminology and products and services related to retail and commercial account customers.
- Proactively identifies and modifies procedures, to increase level of service and promote operational efficiency in operations functions.
- Knowledge of the various Fed Return types, sub types and field tags
- Knowledge of Jack Henry products preferred.
- Detail oriented; quickly spot out irregularities.
- Able to work in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
