Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and engineering of mechanical systems across projects ranging from new design-build construction to complex rehabilitation of existing facilities. This role is responsible for technical leadership, system evaluation, and ensuring designs meet project specifications while providing ongoing engineering guidance and issue resolution.

• Develop conceptual designs for assigned projects
• Represent the mechanical discipline in project team design meetings
• Prepare detailed preliminary redline layouts to support estimating efforts
• Perform advanced calculations including heating and cooling loads, equipment selection and sizing, friction loss calculations, and hydraulic analysis
• Conduct site visits to verify compliance with construction documents and address design-related issues during construction
• Oversee and guide less-experienced engineers in HVAC, fire protection, and related system design, including document production for projects of varying size and complexity

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline
• PE license required
• 8+ years of experience, including prior lead experience
• Strong expertise in HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, and related system design
• Ability to interpret complex mechanical and plumbing drawings
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees, clients, and contractors
• Strong presentation and public speaking capabilities
• Proficiency with CADD and Microsoft Office products, including Excel
