  • Provide QA/QC oversight of hydraulic deliverables for technical accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Serve as a technical resource for project managers, agency reviewers, and multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and support their technical development.
  • Participate in coordination meetings with transportation agencies and regulatory coordination.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
  • Minimum of 16 years of progressive experience in water resources and transportation.
  • Experience with VDOT hydraulics and erosion and sediment control design standards.
  • Strong background in stormwater management design and plan preparation.
  • Extensive experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and analysis.
  • Experience coordinating FEMA Flood Insurance Studies, including CLOMR and LOMR submissions.
  • Understanding of scour analysis and stream stability.
  • Clear communication skills and ability to lead technical discussions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as a Hydraulics Discipline Lead or technical authority.
  • Experience supporting Design-Build or alternative delivery transportation projects.
