Insight Global is partnering with a leading construction client to bring on experienced MEP Superintendents. The MEP Superintendent oversees and coordinates all activities related to the construction, startup, and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and control systems. This role ensures all work aligns with contract documents, quality standards, and the project schedule while driving successful delivery of complex MEP scopes.
Key Responsibilities- Support preconstruction efforts, including bidding mechanical and electrical trades
- Manage the full equipment procurement process
- Develop and maintain the MEP critical path schedule
- Coordinate and track critical path construction, startup, and commissioning activities
- Oversee and monitor equipment deliveries
- Review mechanical and electrical submittals for accuracy and compliance
- Lead project meetings focused on critical MEP milestones
- Develop Methods of Procedure (MOPs) for work in live or sensitive environments
- Collaborate with subcontractors and design teams to resolve MEP conflicts
- Manage MEP quality control processes throughout construction
- Oversee startup and pretesting of mechanical and electrical systems
- Coordinate and support third‑party commissioning teams
- Maintain and manage commissioning documentation
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, or business preferred; equivalent experience considered
- Minimum 4 years of experience in mechanical or electrical system construction
- At least 3 years of combined experience in mission‑critical, healthcare, MEP project management, or system startup/commissioning
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven leadership abilities with experience building and guiding teams
- Skilled in coordinating and scheduling complex MEP activities
- Strong problem‑solving aptitude and ability to work independently
- Self‑motivated with a proactive approach
- Proficient with relevant software and technology
- Experience in preconstruction and equipment procurement
- Willingness to travel as required
Full-time, 12-month contract to hire opportunity
Hourly Pay$50-$75/hr
* PER DIEM/RELOCATION OPTIONS AVAILABLE*
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
