Civil Project Engineer III - Land Development
Timmons Group is currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer III to join our Land Development group located in the Prince George, VA office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Design portions of a project using relevant office software, modeling, and Civil 3D technology.
- Complete calculations using engineering formulas and computer tools to solve problems.
- Prepare specification materials through research and manufacturing catalogs for project items.
- Develop design details and plan sets.
- Perform research and write objective summary reports for project completion and inspection.
- Assist in preparing engineering and construction cost estimates.
- Complete field observation, inspection, and data collection duties as directed by senior engineering staff.
- Communicate with client staff and internal design team as directed by senior engineering staff.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
- Ideally 4+ years of experience in land development civil engineering, including residential neighborhood design and commercial/mixed‑use development.
- EIT preferred.
- Working knowledge of CADD and/or Civil 3D software (Civil 3D preferred).
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.
