Civil Project Engineer III - Land Development

Timmons Group is currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer III to join our Land Development group located in the Prince George, VA office.

• Design portions of a project using relevant office software, modeling, and Civil 3D technology.
• Complete calculations using engineering formulas and computer tools to solve problems.
• Prepare specification materials through research and manufacturing catalogs for project items.
• Develop design details and plan sets.
• Perform research and write objective summary reports for project completion and inspection.
• Assist in preparing engineering and construction cost estimates.
• Complete field observation, inspection, and data collection duties as directed by senior engineering staff.
• Communicate with client staff and internal design team as directed by senior engineering staff.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• Ideally 4+ years of experience in land development civil engineering, including residential neighborhood design and commercial/mixed‑use development.
• EIT preferred.
• Working knowledge of CADD and/or Civil 3D software (Civil 3D preferred).
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.
