This employee-owned general contractor is hiring a Commissioning Manager to lead commissioning activities on large-scale data center projects across the U.S.
This role is ideal for experienced commissioning professionals who understand the complexities of MEP system integration, enjoy field-driven collaboration, and are ready to take ownership of pre-functional testing, functional verification, and IST across hyperscale environments.
Base payBase pay range: $/yr - $/yr
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the full commissioning lifecycle from design-phase review to project turnover
- Direct and document pre-functional and functional testing of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems
- Coordinate with PMs, trade partners, and third-party commissioning agents to ensure alignment
- Lead Integrated Systems Testing (IST) and validate system performance per client specifications
- Manage issue logs and reporting using commissioning software (e.g., Facility Grid, Blue Rithm, CXAlloy)
- Ensure system readiness and generate closeout documentation for owner acceptance
- 7+ years of commissioning or MEP management experience on data center or mission-critical projects
- Strong working knowledge of UPS, generators, chillers, BMS, switch gear, and fire alarm systems
- Familiarity with commissioning platforms and issue-tracking software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documentation and client interaction
- Willing and able to travel nationally for extended project-based assignments
