EPG Field Technician

Peterson Power Systems is seeking a dedicated Data Center Journey Field Technician to perform repairs on Electrical Power Generation (EPG) equipment at customer locations.

• Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to all safety procedures, laws, policies, and rules.
• Support contamination control and safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members to promote positive relationships.
• Perform service operations including diagnostics, repairs, installations, and inspections on Caterpillar engines, generators, and related products.
• Document activities accurately through service reports, work orders, parts lists, and timecards.
• Support sales opportunities by passing relevant information to sales staff.
• Operate company or personal vehicles for field duties, maintaining vehicle appearance and functionality.
• Attend technical and safety training sessions as scheduled.
• Travel up to 100%, including overnight stays and out-of-territory trips, and be on call during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Maintain punctual and regular attendance.

Associate’s degree in Diesel Technology or related field, or equivalent experience with at least 5 years in power generation or engine service, preferably in a heavy industrial setting. Ability to travel extensively is required.

• Completion of a certified electrical safety course.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
