Biology (Anatomy and Physiology) Adjunct (Summer 2026)

Germanna Community College is a two-year public institution of higher education located in Fredericksburg, Virginia. This adjunct faculty position requires teaching Biology (Anatomy and Physiology) both in-person and online for the summer session.

• Teach specific classes in the designated discipline.
• Develop course syllabi and instructional materials.
• Maintain records, assign grades, and assess student progress.
• Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulations of GCC and the VCCS.
• Maintain current competence in the particular discipline or field of specialization.

Provide quality instruction, meet assigned classes regularly, submit required records and reports, teach prescribed courses of study with the established texts, and adhere to the statement on professional ethics in accordance with College policies, procedures, and regulations.

• Master’s Degree with at least eighteen graduate semester hours in Biology (Anatomy and Physiology).
• Ability to effectively teach classrooms and online.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to use instructional technology.
• Experience with or willingness to learn artificial intelligence tools.

• Prior teaching experience.
• Work experience in the field.
• Experience with online teaching.
• Substantial, proven experience with innovative teaching and developing online courses in both synchronous and asynchronous learning environments at a regionally accredited institution.
• Experience with or willingness to learn artificial intelligence tools.
