Exciting opportunity to join the Robins School of Business. The Director of Admission serves as an essential member of the Robins School of Business and has direct reporting responsibility to the Associate Dean of Graduate and Executive Programs. Primary responsibilities include coordination and management of admissions services, implementation of marketing and outreach strategies, and recruitment, evaluation and selection of applicants. The Director, in collaboration with the Graduate Programs team, provides support to students through registration and academic advising.
The Director works collaboratively with the Associate Dean to evaluate current enrollment activities and develop new marketing and recruitment strategies. The Director is responsible for implementing recruitment strategies that support sustained enrollment growth.
- Directly coordinate and manage recruitment and admission operations for graduate business programs
- Direct on and off-campus recruitment events, virtual information sessions, and yield programming
- Recruit prospective students at national recruiting events.
- Arrange recruitment visits with student groups, faculty, and other stakeholders and ensure a high-quality visitor experience
- Thoroughly review applications, evaluate academic credentials, and administer admission decisions with the Associate Dean.
- Serve as a voting member on the committee for admissions and scholarship decisions.
- Serve as primary point of contact for prospective and admitted students, providing application guidance, addressing questions, and directing to appropriate resources.
- Collaborate with the Office of Financial Aid to apply scholarships for all Graduate Business students and to support the financial aid application process
- Collaborate with other offices, as needed, to support new student onboarding and reporting, including the Registrar, Center for Global Engagement, Health Center, and Disability Services.
- In collaboration with Associate Dean, create and implement the Graduate Business annual Recruitment and Communication Plans
- Track and analyze outcomes of recruitment activities and generate analyses to support the development of effective recruitment and application generation campaigns
- Identify and develop new markets for targeted recruitment.
- Oversee recruitment, including developing travel and outreach plans.
- Coordinate, compose, and schedule email communications as part of communications and outreach campaign.
- Work with University Communications to assess and implement digital marketing assets, such as geofencing and digital ad placements; continually monitor and assess new outreach opportunities and innovations
- Ensure consistent recruitment messaging and high-service standards across all outreach
- Partner with the Associate Dean and University Communications to develop the graduate business program profiles and other recruiting materials.
- Coordinate closely with RSB Marketing to align lead-generation campaigns with recruitment goals
- Collaborate with Director of Graduate Programs on employer-based recruitment pipelines and strategies
- Manage registration processes for current and new students
- Provide academic advising to students (tracking graduation requirements, student academic progress, and course schedules)
- Provide advising for independent studies and changes in program of study
- Oversee Slate for graduate business admission to ensure data integrity, effective workflow, and analysis of available data to support program improvement
- Work in collaboration with ESCRMS, the Office of the Registrar, and IFX to ensure data integrity in Slate and Banner
- Participate in strategic planning, goal setting, assessment, and data gathering related to enrollment in graduate business programs
- Develop and recommend operating policy and procedural improvements
- Interpret, communicate, document, and apply admission policies
- Track data and prepare statistical reports on Richmond-specific, regional, and national trends.
- Analyze the effectiveness of recruiting efforts and recommend future strategies.
- Supervise Graduate Program Specialist and oversee recruitment workflows
- Contribute to the development of admissions strategies, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with AAACSB, SACSCOC and other federal standards.
- Visible presence/activity in AACSB and GMAC
- Assist with all accreditation and reporting activities, including IPEDS, SACSCOC, AACSB
- Knowledge of trends in graduate business education
- Knowledge of developments in admissions and enrollment in higher education, including compliance and reporting responsibilities associated with admission and financial aid offices
