Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated educator to join our team at Orange County High as a full-time Marketing Teacher. The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore the dynamic world of marketing, develop critical thinking skills, and apply practical knowledge in real-world scenarios. The teacher will create an engaging and inclusive learning environment that fosters creativity, collaboration, and a deep understanding of marketing principles.

• Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing curriculum that aligns with state standards and student needs.
• Design and deliver engaging lesson plans that incorporate various teaching methods and technologies.
• Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, projects, and examinations, providing timely feedback.
• Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
• Guide students in hands-on projects, including marketing campaigns, business simulations, and community outreach initiatives.
• Stay current with industry trends and integrate relevant content into the curriculum.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of marketing practices.
• Contribute to the school community through involvement in extracurricular activities and events.

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Education, or a related field;
• Valid teaching certification in Marketing or Business Education or willing to obtain a Virginia teaching license.
• Proven experience in teaching marketing or business-related subjects at the high school level preferred.
• Strong understanding of marketing concepts, digital marketing, and contemporary business practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment.
• Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance learning.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
• Experience in developing and implementing curriculum and assessment methods is a plus.
