Educational Connections is currently looking for highly qualified COLLEGE CONSULTANTS that have experience working in College Admissions to help guide high school seniors through the application process this season!

Who we are:

For over 27 years, Educational Connections Tutoring and Test Prep has provided one-to-one instruction that students need to improve their grades, critical thinking strategies, organizational skills, and much more.

We believe that every student, even the most accomplished ones, can use a little help with optimizing their study habits. We offer four services:
Subject Tutoring, Executive Function Coaching, SAT and ACT preparation, and full cycle college counseling.

Educational Connections serves a wide and wonderfully diverse group of students. While our learners come from all backgrounds and academic levels, many of the students we support have ADHD and other executive function challenges. That means our coaches don’t just teach content — they help students build focus, organization, confidence, and the real-world skills that make learning actually stick.

At Educational Connections, you'll have the opportunity to make a huge difference in the lives of students through completely individualized, one-on-one, online meetings.

• Work side-by-side with students (virtually) to create and implement a college roadmap — not just giving advice, but
  actively helping them complete tasks
  like writing essays and filling out applications together when support is needed.
• Assist with strategic college guidance including: college research, list development, application and essay completion, interview preparation and everything in between!
• Consult with parents to explain and choose the best program for their college bound student
• Work with a dedicated and enjoyable team, great kids and supportive families!
• Help students in high school find their individual brand and path to college by assisting with course, club, and extra curricular selection.
• Participate in company webinars to educate parents and student on the college process.

• Bachelor's degree in counseling, education, or similar required.
• 5 years experience as a College Admissions evaluator, reader, director, or officer required.
• Experience working with students on the full college admissions process including but not limited to researching and crafting college lists, writing and editing essays, completing applications, and assisting with financial aid, building resume, guiding test prep, course selection, etc.
• Familiar with a wide range of colleges ESPECIALLY mid-Atlantic colleges where a large number of our student population apply (UVA, GMU, William and Mary, Virginia Tech, etc.)
• Familiar with the Common Application, The Common Data Set, and FAFSA.
• Tech savvy, confident, and professional in an online setting

• Fully remote and flexible work schedule. Evenings and weekends are needed to accommodate student and parent schedules during the school year.
• No minimum or maximum number hours to work!

• The nature of this position is highly seasonal with the busiest times being Summer, Fall, and early Winter.
• Hours per week will fluctuate based on caseload and student need. Frequency of sessions depends on student needs.
• This IS NOT a replacement for a full time job although over several successful seasons, it may build up to near full time hours.
