Job Description:Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) is a nonresidential two-year institution of higher education that serves Central Virginia – principally residents of the City of Charlottesville and the counties of Albemarle, Buckingham, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa and Nelson. Our scenic campus is located in Albemarle County, Virginia. We are one of 23 community colleges in Virginia that comprise the Virginia Community College System (VCCS).
PVCC is nationally recognized for its outstanding transfer curriculum; its relationship with its neighbor, the University of Virginia; and its Workforce Development Programs serving local employers.

Piedmont Virginia Community College is seeking innovative and collaborative individuals to join the faculty as a part-time Adjunct Professor of Medical Laboratory Technology. Candidates must be qualified to teach in at least one of the following areas:
Clinical Microbiology, Hematology, and Clinical Chemistry. Classes may be offered face-to-face and/or online.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Microbiology if relevant
- Two years’ work experience in the medical/clinical laboratory
- Master’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Education
- Medical Laboratory Science National Certification (ASCP or AMT)
- Community College teaching experience.
