Description
The Department of Radiology & Medical Imaging at the University of Virginia (UVA) seeks fellowship-trained, board-eligible or board-certified Diagnostic Neuroradiologists. Incumbents will be responsible for clinical work, teaching residents and fellows, and participating in research. They will also see patients for specialized procedures. Clinical responsibilities include all areas of adult and pediatric diagnostic neuroradiology, with teaching and scholarly activities. Rank, tenure status and compensation are dependent upon qualifications.
To be considered for a tenure-eligible position, applicants should demonstrate peer-reviewed publications and a record as principal investigator for extramural grant and clinical trials funding.
The UVa Health System features a large, world-renowned neuro-sciences staff and serves as a regional referral center for neurological, neuro-oncological, craniofacial, and otolaryngological care. There is an active neuroradiology training program with five ACGME-approved neurodiagnostic fellowship positions.
About the DepartmentThe UVA Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging has nine divisions, approximately 60 full-time clinical faculty, 14 research faculty, 47 residents and 23 fellows/instructors. It operates in a Level 1 Trauma Center with busy transplant and cardiovascular services and strong representation across medical and surgical specialties. - MD degree; fellowship trained in Neuroradiology
- Board-certified/board-eligible by the American Board of Radiology (A ); A CAQ eligible
- Ability to obtain a license in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Experience and ability in USG, CT, and fluoroscopy-guided head/neck and spine procedures
- Familiarity with advanced imaging techniques; interest in academic and research pursuits preferred
