Professor of Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

Overview

The Department of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences at the University of Virginia (UVA) School of Medicine is seeking an Open Rank Professor of Psychiatry (tenure eligible). The position involves providing child psychiatric clinical services within the Medical Center and to children and adolescents in the region served by UVA. These clinical services may include inpatient consultation liaison, emergency room, and/or outpatient work.

• Provide child psychiatric clinical services within the Medical Center and to children and adolescents in the region served by UVA. These clinical services may include inpatient consultation liaison, emergency room, and/or outpatient work.
• Participate in the supervision and training of psychiatry residents, child and adolescent psychiatry fellows, and medical students.
• Provide services in person and cover faculty call for nights and weekends in rotation with other faculty members.
• Telepsychiatry services are provided to a number of rural, underserved locations in the state.
• This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician with interests in patient care, academic psychiatry, teaching, and research.

• MD, DO, or equivalent; board-eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry by the start date of the position.
• Salary and tenure status are contingent upon candidate qualifications.
