Overview
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Virginia (UVA) School of Medicine seeks applications for a tenure-ineligible clinical faculty position as a member of the Division of Academic Specialists in General Obstetrics and Gynecology in Charlottesville, VA. The faculty member will be engaged in the full spectrum of general obstetric and gynecologic practice in an academic environment and will join a group of 18 OB/GYN academic specialist faculty and 4 PA/NP clinicians.
The ASGOG division includes faculty with varied interests in clinical, educational and leadership arenas. Clinical duties will include an office-based practice in Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as performing gynecologic surgery and staffing Labor and Delivery, including in-hospital Labor and Delivery call and benign Gyn call coverage. Currently, a significant portion of weeknight in-hospital Labor and Delivery coverage is covered by nocturnists.
On a rotating basis, the faculty member may be scheduled to work in outreach clinics within 30 miles of UVA’s Charlottesville campus. In addition, the faculty member will participate in undergraduate and graduate medical education. The Division enjoys strong collaborative relationships with Department subspecialists in MFM, Gynecologic Oncology, Urogynecology, MIGS, and Menopause, as well as Family Planning specialists embedded within the Division.
There are broad opportunities to practice in a qua ternary care environment serving a diverse population of patients in both Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Qualified candidates must have an MD or DO and be board-certified or board eligible by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The successful candidate must have excellent clinical skills and enthusiasm for medical education.
