this Role
  • The marketing team is seeking a Creative Social Media Manager (Social Content Lead) who brings strong creative instincts, excellent visual taste, and no shortage of content ideas.
  • This role is responsible for shaping how Fairfax Egg Bank shows up on social, through compelling video, cohesive campaigns, and consistent storytelling across platforms like Instagram and Tik Tok.
  • You will work closely with the marketing director and marketing manager, who set overall strategy, and a marketing project specialist who supports timelines, organization, and workflows.
  • This is a hands-on role for someone who loves making things, experimenting with formats, and turning ideas into polished, platform-native content.
Key Responsibilities

The Social Content Lead will own the creative execution of Fairfax Egg Bank’s organic social presence, with a strong emphasis on short-form video and campaign-driven storytelling. All organic content will inform our paid ads strategy.

Content Creation
  • Concept, create, and execute original social media content for three different audiences: donors, intended parents, and clinics.
  • Own short-form video creation end-to-end, including filming, editing, audio selection, captions, and pacing (experience with adobe express, Canva, Kapwing, or similar preferred)
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand voice, visual identity, and messaging standards
  • Stay current on platform trends, cultural moments, and evolving best practices
  • Build on top of our privacy-first UGC strategy for our donor program
Brand Voice
  • Execute our refreshed brand voice across all social channels.
  • Build a responsive commenting strategy, engaging where needed and even replying with pre-approved language on confrontational comments.
  • Track social listening, gaining a deeper understanding of current brand sentiment from our audiences.
Channel Management and Performance Insights
  • Manage day-to-day organic social publishing, including scheduling, captioning, and content optimization.
  • Test new creative formats and storytelling approaches, iterating based on evolving video trends and performance insights.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly social reporting to be presented across the organization. Provide suggestions on how the brand can improve based on performance metrics.
  • Collaborate closely with a project specialist who supports timelines, asset organization, and workflows.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure content is delivered on time and aligned with broader marketing efforts.
  • Partner with our scientific team to create education video series.
  • Participate in creative reviews and planning sessions to align social content with brand priorities.
  • Inform and influence paid ad creative based on organic performance and content learnings.
Position Requirements
  • 4–6+ years of experience managing and creating content for brand social media accounts, with a strong portfolio of short-form video work
  • Monthly or Quarterly on-site visits to HQ in Fairfax, Virginia
Technical & Creative Skills
  • Strong proficiency in short-form video editing tools (Cap Cut, Adobe Express, Final Cut Pro, Kapwing, Canva, or similar)
  • Experience creating platform-native content for Instagram and Tik Tok
  • Strong understanding of visual storytelling, pacing, and tone
  • Familiarity with social scheduling and publishing tools
