- JUNIOR COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR
We are searching for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Commercial Estimator to support our team in cost estimations and budgeting. The Junior Commercial Estimator will assist in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates and help monitor costs. Our ideal candidate has some experience with commercial / retail projects and is comfortable dealing with numerical data. They should have strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
Ultimately, the Junior Commercial Estimator will assist our Project Management and Operations Teams in ensuring that all cost considerations are accurate and comprehensive, leading to profitable and competitive bids.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Strong analytical abilities to assess project scope and assist in creating cost projections.
- Knowledge of construction industry standards, practices, and materials.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings, plans, and specifications to understand project requirements.
- Experience with estimating and takeoff software required, with Beam Estimating experience strongly preferred. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and demonstrate the ability to quickly learn new technology platforms.
- Strong time management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Problem-solving skills to address challenges that may arise during the estimating process.
- Attention to detail in order to help ensure accurate and thorough estimates.
- Prepare and develop project estimates while collaborating closely with project managers and operations team.
- Assessing costs and helping in preparing budgets for various commercial and retail projects.
- Communicating with clients, contractors, and subcontractors about bids and contracts.
- Review project plans and specifications.
- Maintaining organized records of estimates, proposals, and other relevant documents.
- Performing accurate takeoffs.
- Vendor and Subcontractor coordination.
- Assisting in project management tasks as needed.
- Participate in site visits as needed.
- Proven work experience as a Junior Commercial Estimator.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency with estimating, takeoff, financial, and project management software (Beam experience a plus), with demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position is primarily remote; however, during the onboarding phase, in-person collaboration (1-2 days per week) will be required to ensure effective training and integration into company systems and processes.
REPORTING STRUCTURE:
Reports to the Vice President of I.C.M.
SALARY:
Salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
