If you love being outside, creating lifelong memories for children, and planning exciting activities - then we have the job for you! The Department of Parks and Recreation offers full-day camp programs for ages 6-14 throughout all of Prince William County to include indoor and outdoor adventures.

We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team. Camp programs are generally offered Monday-Friday from 9a-5p, however due to our extended care program, there may be times when flexibility is necessary.

employee hours are based upon camp enrollments and cannot be guaranteed.

This position is responsible for the daily supervision of campers, daily activity planning, safety, and group management. Camp Counselors must be able to work within a team setting to accomplish program goals. Successful Camp Counselors are upbeat, decisive, and responsible, while giving campers a fun and safe camp experience. Organizational and strong leadership skills are a plus!

Starting Pay: $16.66

Head Camp Counselors should have experience working with parents and children and must be able to demonstrate a high level of enthusiasm and care for our programs and participants. Head Counselors work closely with camp managers to ensure camper and counselor safety. Individuals are expected to offer a high level of customer service and are responsible for activity implementation/coordination, supervision of staff, monitoring daily camp operations and administrative functions associated with implementing a camp program.

Must be able to work within a team setting to accomplish program goals.
